"Incredible! The salon is absolutely beautiful, but more importantly, Jesse made me feel so at ease and made sure I understood everything about the procedure before and after. Knowing that she is a nurse also made me feel really reassured. Results are fabulous, less than 24 hours and someone had commented (without knowing 😂). I love the new VIP membership option too, great idea. Thanks Jesse! See you soon! (P.s. The salon has the most adorable details, couldn't help but snap a wee pic of the princess carriage 😍)"

Botox FAQ's

Botox is a popular cosmetic treatment derived from botulinum toxin. It temporarily relaxes facial muscles to reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, particularly on the forehead, around the eyes (crow’s feet), and between the eyebrows (frown lines).

Botox works by blocking nerve signals to the muscles where it is injected. This prevents the muscles from contracting, which softens and smooths the appearance of wrinkles and lines.

The effects of Botox typically last 3 months. Over time, the muscle activity gradually returns, and the wrinkles or lines may begin to reappear, at which point many patients choose to undergo another treatment to maintain their results.

Common side effects of Botox include temporary bruising, swelling, or redness at the injection site. Some people may experience headaches, drooping eyelids, or asymmetry in facial expressions, though these effects are rare and usually resolve on their own.

Botox injections are usually well-tolerated, with most patients describing the sensation as a quick pinch or slight discomfort. The needles used are very fine, and the procedure is generally quick, taking only 10-20 minutes.

Results from Botox / Azzalure can begin to appear within 24hrs after treatment, with full results visible by two weeks. The treated areas will appear smoother and more relaxed as the muscles gradually begin to relax.

It is generally recommended to avoid strenuous exercise for at least 24 hours after receiving Botox injections. This helps to prevent the Botox from spreading to unintended areas and reduces the risk of bruising. Light activities like walking are usually fine.

Yes, Botox can be used as a preventative measure against wrinkles. By relaxing the muscles responsible for facial expressions, Botox can help prevent the formation of new lines and wrinkles, particularly in younger patients who are starting to see the early signs of aging.

After receiving Botox, it's advisable to avoid rubbing or massaging the treated area, lying down for at least 4 hours, and engaging in strenuous exercise for 24 hours. You should also avoid alcohol and blood-thinning medications to minimize the risk of bruising.

Botox and dermal fillers serve different purposes. Botox is used to relax muscles and reduce the appearance of dynamic wrinkles (caused by facial expressions). In contrast, dermal fillers are used to add volume and smooth out static wrinkles or deep lines that are present even when the face is at rest. Fillers can also be used to enhance lips, Jaw, chin and cheeks.
